Kalymnos is the fourth in extent island of Dodecanesus. It
is found between the islands of Leros and Kos and is in general a mountainous
island full of herbs. The capital of the island is Pothia, a splendid,
amphitheatrically built, city. Around Kalymnos there are small islands, from
which only two are inhabited, Pserimos and Telendos.
Kalymnos is called the island of the sponge-fishers and the sea has played always the main role in the life of locals. The spotless beaches, the friendly residents, its monuments and its traditional character wait to charm each traveller that will visit it.
