Samos is found in the Eastern department of the Aegean Sea and the form of island resembles to a leaf of oak, or a hare that looks at the East. The geographers that are occupied with Samos, find theirselves in a paradoxical nonagreement as for the size, its form and its perimeter. In this island was developed a big culture and here lived famous persons that dealt with the arts, the letters, the philosophies and the theories. The mythology reports that Dionysos, god of wine and vine, loved the residents of Samos and taught them the vine-growing, because they helped him exterminate the Amazons.
Its climate is mild, cool in the summertime and cold in the winter. The sun “bathes” its beautiful beaches, almost eight months of the years. Samos allocates astonishing natural beauties near the city and in the remainder regions.
